Gözlerin Steaua Bükreş maçına çevrildiği Galatasaray'da teknik direktör Skibbe kadrosunu büyük ölçüde belirledi. Hazırlık maçlarında birçok oyuncu ve çeşitli taktikler deneyen Alman hoca, çarşamba günü sürprizleri bir kenara bırakıp sakatlar dışında ideal onbiri sahaya sürecek. Rumen ekibi karşısında Sanctis, Servet,
Meira, Hakan Balta, Arda, Ayhan, Mehmet Topal, Lincoln ve Nonda'nın forma giymesinin kesinleştiği bildirildi.

EN İYİSİNİ SEÇECEK
Skibbe tek kararsızlığı sağ kanatta yaşıyor. Bu bölgede Barış, Sabri ve Hasan Şaş'tan ikisini oynatacak olan Alman hoca, kimi keseceğine henüz karar vermedi. Sabri'nin defansta verdiği açıklar nedeniyle Bursa maçında Barış sağ bekte denenmişti. Hasan ise tecrübesi ve hücumdaki etkinliği ile öne çıkıyor. Skibbe üç oyuncu arasında yapacağı tercihten sonra Steaua onbirini netleştirecek.

Yaklaşık bir aydır Hakan Şükür'ün yerine bir golcü transfer etmeyi hedefleyen Galatasaray yönetimi, bu düşünceyi Şampiyonlar Ligi ön eleme maçına kadar gerçekleştiremeyince transfer stratejisini değiştirdi.

Öncelikle transferi planlanan golcüyü Steaua Bükreş maçına yetiştiremeyen sarı kırmızılı yöneticiler, takımın motivasyonunu bozar gerekçesiyle transferi dondurma kararı aldı. Sarı kırmızılı yönetim, futbol takımının Çarşamba günü Ali Sami Yen'de oynanacak zorlu maç öncesi transfer haberleriyle dikkatinin dağılmamasını hedefliyor. Bu yüzden Steaua Bükreş maçı sonrası transfer için harekete geçilecek ve 2 golcü oyuncu birden sarı kırmızılı renklere kazandırılacak.

Steaua Bükreş maçı öncesinde Ümit Karan'ın sakatlığının düzelmeyecek durumda olması ise teknik direktör Skibbe'nin planlarında zorunlu değişikliğe neden oldu.

Çarşamba günü yapılacak ilk maçta çift santrafor oynatmayı planlayan Alman teknik adam, bu yüzden Nonda'nın gerisinde hücuma dönük üç orta saha oyuncusu Arda, Lincoln ve Hasan Şaş ile hücum planları hazırlıyor. Sakatlığı düzelen ancak kondisyon eksiği bulunan Lincoln ise teknik direktörü ile yaptığı görüşmede bu maçta oynamayı çok istediğini ve görev verilirse oynamaya hazır olduğunu ilettiği öğrenildi.

Galatasaray'ın Şampiyonlar Ligi 3. Ön eleme turunda 13 Ağustos Çarşamba günü oynayacağı Steaua Bükreş karşılaşmasını Fransız hakem Laurent Duhamel yönetecek.

Futbol Federasyonu'ndan yapılan açıklamaya göre, Ali Sami Yen Stadı'nda saat 21.15'te başlayacak karşılaşmada, Duhamel'in yardımcılıklarını Stephane Duhamel ve Laurent Ugo yapacak. Karşılaşmanın dördüncü hakemi Thierry Auriac.

I thought it would be nice of me to translate for you the statment of our manager that Murat posted a link to. Here it is:

The injury of Szekely is a real blow, apparently he'll be fit just for the Group Stage games. He was an important player for us, having managed to grab a place in the first team from his first official game with Steaua.

I can only imagine. Similar stories are told by our grandfathers but they are set mainly during world war times. I only remember rationing of gasoline when the oil crisis hit the world markets in the 70's. Our then prime minister was famous for proclaiming to the protesters "You all are blaming me like there was lot of gas available and I drank it ?" Interesting guy but not much of a prime minister he was.

Our beloved commi Murat should ask you your experiences in private without clouding the forum more with this off-topic stuff. He is one of the last of the communism supporters who are about to go extinct.

Actually, I am.. Although most of us are uneasy because we have not played an official game yet, some of the key players are injured and our forwards could not find their scoring touch yet, I am eerily confident that we will go through.

Because...

1) We still are going to be able to field our best players. There is a lot of depth in the team. Arda will take the helm and he is a natural born leader even though he is very young.
2) Turkish teams love to be the underdog and come out on the top at the end.
3) The team has gotten together, administration, managers and the players and they understand the importance of the game.
4) The club has gone back to the practice of distributing some of the money that comes from CL/UEFA back to the players. In the days when we won the UEFA cup and played in the quarter finals in CL, 25% of the money was given to the players as an incentive. They stopped doing that because of the hard financial times club was going through. There are rumors that the president Adnan Polat told the players half of the 5.5 milyon dollar CL entrance prize will be theirs. That is a huge bonus !! I am sure if nothing has, that news has made certain our players will be 110% concentrated.

5) Most importantly, Galatasaray has never lost an elimination round to the Champions League. 8 times I believe we played and we always won. We even beat Manchester United once and forced UEFA to change the rules and regulations of qualifying. Now English teams which win the league go straight into CL. Before GS beat ManU, everybody had to play an elimination round. History is on our side.

So I am quite confident we will prevail one more time.

Galatasaray Profesyonel Futbol A Takımı, 13 Ağustos Çarşamba akşamı Şampiyonlar Ligi ön elemesinde Steau Bucuresti ile yapacağı ilk karşılaşmanın hazırlık çalışmalarını, Florya Metin Oktay Tesisleri’nde basın ve taraftara kapalı olarak yaptığı tek antrenmanla sürdürdü.

Teknik ekibimiz Michael Skibbe, Edwin Boekamp, Ümit Davala, Cevat Güler ve Nezih Ali Boloğlu yönetiminde saat 17.30’dan itibaren sinema salonunda video görüntüleri üzerinde yapılan bir çalışmanın ardından, Jupp Derwall Antrenman Sahası’nda yapılan antrenman ısınma ve açma germe egzersizleriyle başladı.

Antrenmanın ana bölümünde önce teknik çalışmalar yapılırken, kaleciler kaleci antrenörü Nezih Ali Boloğlu yönetiminde özel bir kaleci antrenmanı yaptılar. Daha sonra kalecilerin de katıldığı taktik bir çalışma yapıldı.

Fernando Meira ve Yaser Yıldız tedavilerinin ardından takımla birlikte antrenmanın tümüne katıldılar.

Soğuma ve açma germe çalışmalarıyla tamamlanan antrenmandan sonra oyuncular merkez binamıza geçtiler.

Harry Kewell takımla koordinasyon çalışmalarına katıldıktan sonra antrenör Cevat Güler yönetiminde sahada takımdan ayrı bir antrenman programı dâhilinde çalıştı. Kewell yarın sabah özel bir çalışma daha yapacak.

Ümit Karan tedavisinden ardından fizyoterapistler kontrolü altında sahada tedavi amaçlı özel bir çalışma yaptı

Orkun Usak ve Tobias Linderoth sağlık merkezinde sürdürülen tedavilerinin ardından fizyoterapistler eşliğinde salon ve sahada takımdan ayrı çalışmaya devam ediyorlar.

Bu sabah yapılan kontrollerin ardından antrenmana katılması uygun bulunmayan Aydın Yılmaz ve bu akşam kontrol amaçlı bir MR tetkiki daha yapılacak Mehmet Güven’in tedavileri de devam ettirildi.

Semih Kaya ve Uğur Uçar’ın ameliyat sonrası rehabilitasyon çalışmaları Metin Oktay Tesisleri sağlık merkezinde sürdürülüyor. Serkan Çalık ise evinde dinlendiriliyor.

I completely sympathise with Leo. However, anyone equating Communism with the terrible regimes of Stalinism (and Maoism) must also equate liberal capitalism with Nazism. In reality, they are both not! They were both born oiut of the crisis of respective systems. In turn, they both pushed each other into crisis, although as demonstrated today yet again capitalism is well capable of creating its own crisis (indeed, it is a system of crisis). Whether or not individuals know this, is their problem. It is a matter of finding out the historical truth. So if you are curious, then start digging. But what will probably convince you will not be the history. It will be the present! The world war is nearer than you guys might think. Just look east! Rations? You will get for sure, if you can survive the nuclear holocaust! This is not me saying it. It is Washington Post: “So far, each step in the Caucasus drama has put the conflict on a yet higher plane. The next step will no longer be just about the Caucasus, or even Europe. Remember the Guns of August.”

I guess anyone with slight knowledge of history would know what "Guns of August" refer to! It refers to the events preceeding World War 1. This is not some abstract thing, or scare mongering! It is real and it is happening, innocent people are dying, whether or not we ponder acknowledging it.

Anybody who argues they can stop this must come with an alternative other than fascism before dismissing a global communist revolution out of hand! Just like ordinary people do not know the depth of the crisis (because they are not properly told), they also do not know the depth of the struggle. But they will find out. Sooner or later! Let's hope it is sooner than later. By the way, no revolution in the past came as a choice. It always came as the 'last resort'! It comes as a result of conservatism of the people as they always hang on to the last minute and then explode.

As for the game tomorrow, I think Cimbom is going to be hard pressed. If last year's FC Sion game is any measure, we will concede a couple of goals home before responding in the last 10 minutes. (Remember EURO2008?). We call this Laz mentality. The second game will be the most interesting one!

This year we have bigger potential but we miss one big gun: Hakan Sukur. I risk create a fury of messages when I say this because so many people wanted him to go, including me. But the gap he left is huge! Clearly, it is not yet filled. He had the ability to scare opponents with his sheer presence. This is not going to be the case this year. I cannot imagine Umit Karan or Nonda causing sleepless nights for opponent's coaches.

Probably not! But Hagi could not do it w/o GS either

GS is usually very generous against the opponents at the beginning of the games. Use it or lose it! (But then somehow it is always the one which goes to the group stage)

Will be a good game and whatever the result, we'll probably meet at or after the 3rd round of the UEFA cup early next year.
